The allowance is per series rather than per account, which is the detail most people miss. It does not burn down to zero like a trial. Open a different series and its first two episodes are free as well, so a patient viewer accumulates a lot of watching for nothing, one opening pair at a time.
For the series listed in Candy AI's public catalogue, each run is five episodes long. Two free and three paid is the arithmetic, per series, every time, which is a far more useful thing to know than any single price.
What you do not get is any say in where a series stops. The cut is fixed by the platform and lands in the same place every time: the end of episode two.
Are the free episodes explicit, or do they hold back?

No. Shorts sits inside Candy AI rather than beside it. The account that unlocks the free episodes is an ordinary Candy AI account, and the plan that unlocks the continuation is an ordinary Candy AI plan. We have found nothing advertising a standalone Shorts product or a Shorts-only tier.
That cuts both ways. If you already pay for Candy AI for the chat and companion side, the episodes cost you nothing extra. If the episodes are all you want, you are buying a broader subscription that happens to include them, and it should be judged on the whole platform rather than on Shorts alone.
How do you actually watch the free episodes?

Create the account. Registration is free, and it is the gate rather than a formality: logged out, the Private Content item sits behind its padlock and clicking it opens the registration modal instead of an episode.
Pick a series rather than scrolling the mixed feed. Several titles circulate in searches – Mona's Worst Enemy, Roxy's Wet Weekend, Caught Between Sisters, Stepsister Summer, One Room with My Fiancée's Mother – but none of them appear in the public catalogue, so treat those names as leads rather than as a listing. The catalogue series are the ones worth planning around, because each of those runs to five episodes and you know before you start where the free part ends.
Watch both free episodes before deciding anything. Episode two is where the free part of that series ends, so it is the last point at which you are judging the series rather than the subscription.
Why does this page not list a price?
Because any figure printed here would be wrong within a week, and a wrong number is worse than none.
Pricing is not something this page can pin down. We have not documented Candy AI's current figures, and subscription pricing of this kind moves with plan length, currency and whatever offer happens to be running, so a number typed here would be a snapshot of somebody else's checkout rather than a fact about yours. Treat any page that prints one firm figure as out of date until you have checked it yourself.

Is there a free trial?
Not in the usual sense. There is no advertised time-limited trial of the paid tier that we can verify from the platform's own pages, so treat any site promising one with suspicion.
In practice the free episodes are the trial. Two full episodes from each series, across as many series as you care to open, is a longer sample than most trials give, and it costs nothing but a registration. For a catalogue series that is two of five episodes before you are asked for anything.
Do the free episodes stay available?
They behave like a catalogue rather than a broadcast.
