The situation Jake is in
Jake is involved with a woman he was never supposed to meet that way: the mother of the friend he is closest to. They found each other on a dating app, neither expecting the other to be there, and the gesture behind it stopped mattering fairly quickly. From there the series is about what cannot be said out loud, with the friendship sitting on one side of that and the relationship on the other.
Then her daughter turns up already aware of it, and the thing Jake was keeping quiet has an audience. Five episodes, three people who all now know, and no version of the truth that costs nothing. Everyone here is an AI generated character, and no real performer licensed her likeness for this series.
Free episodes and paid episodes
Every series in the public Candy Shorts catalogue runs five episodes. The first two are free. You sign up for a free Candy AI account and watch them, and no card is involved in that step.
Episodes 3, 4 and 5 are the explicit continuation, and those are behind the paid tier. The split is identical across the catalogue, so the two free episodes are a fair way to test whether this one is for you before you spend anything.
How explicit it gets
Different series go to different places, which is why we score them 1 to 5 rather than describing them all the same way. I Dated My Best Friend Mom is Not rated yet. There is no number on this page and we are not inventing one.
What is fixed is where the line falls. The free half is setup. The adult content is in the paid half.
What to do next
Open candy.ai, make the free account, find the series in the Shorts feed by title. Watch episodes 1 and 2, then decide. Nothing here asks you to pay before you have seen anything.
